Our business revolves around a single idea: make people feel good. It’s a simple commitment and one we proudly honor. Still, we often find ourselves humbled by organizations taking this same goal to extraordinary levels. We see them as an inspiration and we call them our partners.
The Medewell Charitable Health Centre provides ophthalmic care to the people of Tanzania. Their weekly eye clinics offer patients basic services at subsidized rates. Those suffering more extreme pathologies find help at the free cataract surgery camps offered throughout the year. The Medewell outreach team also travels to local schools providing students medications, frames, and prescription lenses free of charge. Our recent donation of 104 Bevel frames has gone to aid this particular effort. Students who otherwise couldn’t afford it are now receiving the necessary treatment and eyewear thanks to the dedication of the Medewell team. And still they remain ambitious. Plans for a complete eye-care center are on the horizon. There, vulnerable community members will enjoy a full-range of ophthalmic services otherwise inaccessible due to cost and distance. There’s an exciting future in store for Medewell and the Tanzanian people. We’re honored to be a part of it.
